Mandisa – Humiliated on national televsion by Simon Cowell, I feel just “made her stronger.”

Mandisa was already a singer but she decided to try American Idol. American Idol did not like her sing Christian music. Simon Cowell rejected her for the type of music and also made a comment about her weight. She was told by the producers of American Idol told her “to go back out and give Simon the whatever…they would even bleep out any words that were not TV-friendly.” She shoked everyone by going out and telling Simon she forgave him.
The song Mandisa sings about going through things just makes you stonger is a wonderful song of worship. It tells us how God is there even when we don’t see him. We may feel we are drowing in our problems but when it is over we can look back and see just what God brought us through. The next time we may go through something we can look back where we have come.

I have attached the words to Mandisa's Song: Stonger

These lyrics are really POWERFUL.

Hey, heard you were up all night
Thinking about how your world ain't right
And you wonder if things will ever get better
And you're asking why is it always raining on you
When all you want is just a little good news
Instead of standing there stuck out in the weather

Oh, don't hang your head
It's gonna end
God's right there
Even if it's hard to see Him
I promise you that He still cares

When the waves are taking you under
Hold on just a little bit longer
He knows that this is gonna make you stronger, stronger
The pain ain't gonna last forever
And things can only get better
Believe me
This is gonna make you stronger
Gonna make you stronger, stronger, stronger
Believe me, this is gonna make you ...

Try and do the best you can
Hold on and let Him hold your hand
And go on and fall into the arms of Jesus
Oh, lift your head it's gonna end
God's right there
Even when you just can't feel Him
I promise you that He still cares

'Cause if He started this work in your life
He will be faithful to complete it
If only you believe it
He knows how much it hurts
And I'm sure that He's gonna help you get through this

When the waves are taking you under
Hold on just a little bit longer
He knows that this is gonna make you stronger, stronger
The pain ain't gonna last forever
In time it's gonna get better
Believe me
This is gonna make you stronger

Lets Worship

Over the ages, there have been many ways Christians expressed their love and attempted to connect with God through worship. In this regard, modern day Christians are no different from their historic counter parts. While worship styles and customs have changed throughout the centuries, one thing remains constant. God created us with the inherent need to know and experience Him.

Although every aspect of how we live our lives is worship, most people if asked to define worship gravitate to music and song. This has been the case for millennia dating back to David, the Israelite king of the Old Testament. David was a musician and poet and he is described in the Bible as “a man after God’s own heart.” He authored seventy three psalms or poems which were sometimes accompanied by instruments. The themes of these ancient songs ranged from praise and adoration to cries for help in times of discouragement. Sound familiar?

Reese and I are starting this blog to connect people, like ourselves, who love to worship God. It is our prayer that subscribers would interact with each other and ultimately grow closer to God through worship. Like David, we want to seek after God's own heart. Because we are musicians and worship leaders, most of the content we post will be directed towards various forms of contemporary Christian music; however, we want to encourage our subscribers to share their own personal comments and experiences related to worshipping God.

In Christ, Louie
