Jeremy Camp Worship "I Still Believe"

Jeremy Camp is one of the most prolific singer song writers in Christian Contemporary music today.  While attending Calvary Chapel Bible College in Southern California, he became involved in the worship team and began His career leading worship throughout southern California.  Although his career has included 14 number one hits and several gold status albums, what has inspired me is not his accalades but the way he was able to persevere through the loss of his first wife Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp.
After being married for just over three months, Melissa died of ovarian cancer. The pain of dealing with her illness and eventual death inspired him to write many of his early songs. “I Still Believe” was the first song he wrote after her death. The song is incredible and it really provides a window into Jeremy’s heart. His tremendous faith made it possible for him to not only survive but live above the circumstances or her death.  God is So Good!!!
This video is “I Still Believe” by Jeremy Camp.  Its definitely worth taking the time to check out.

Lets Be.....Stronger

A couple of days ago Reese posted a piece referencing one of my favorite artists, Mandisa. Her song "Stronger" is definetly inspiring and I would encourage everyone to check it out. Sometimes life can just be overwhelming to say the least but we need to remember God is in control and he cares about the problems we face. I hope you enjoy the videos.

Check out this new song from Needtobreathe

Many a good message comes from Worship music. The music and beat are both up lifting along with the words that fill your heart.
The old hymns are just up lifting. The words to many of the old hymns can speak to your heart and help you through many hard times. It seems there is a song for anything you face. So your heart can just worship even in your trials.

Today's contemporary songs are also a great way to worship. Contemporary was started back in 1960's. It is said to be part of a Jesus movement. Some of these songs can sometimes be heard through other stations that are secular. This can be a great outreach. Someone may need to hear the song but would never listen to a Chrisitan station.
"Now is the time to Worship" is a song sung by Brian Doerksun. It says one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess. This is Biblical and it just goes to prove we do need to send the Gospel through the other stations.

Having Worship and Praise in my heart continually is what helps me through my day to day routine.

Today’s Contemporary Music

Although contemporary music has been on the scene for many years, the music has gained broader acceptance over the last ten to twelve years. It was in the late eighties that I first was exposed to contemporary Christian music, but at that time the music lacked depth and this led to a much smaller audience than that of today. In short, the music just wasn’t very good but it set the stage for musicians that would come not long afterwards. These musicians like Steven Curtis Chapman and Michael W. Smith together with bands such as Audio Adrenaline transformed contemporary Chritian music and brought it from mediocre to main stream.

Today, the music available to Christians seems endless. With so much music available, listeners are not limited to a specific genre. From Christian rap to rock to worship, there is always great stuff to listen to. My personal favorites include Needtobreathe and Switchfoot when  am in the mood for rock.

Needtobreathe

When its worship I’m look for, which is often, Chris Tomlin, Hill Song and Passion.
No matter what your music taste there are lots of artist to choose from.
This is a new song from Chris Tomlin. I hope you will take the time to check it out, Louie
